Meet Elisabeth Bartrom – Industry Leader & Educator

A Grand Rapids native, entrepreneur, and industry innovator, Elisabeth Bartrom has dedicated her career to elevating the beauty profession. As the oldest of seven children, she naturally embraced leadership from an early age. Her background in competitive sports instilled discipline, resilience, and a drive for excellence—qualities that continue to shape her career today.

After graduating from Chic University, Elisabeth pursued advanced training with top educators in major cities like New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago. Her journey led her to the Las Vegas Strip, where she refined her skills as a Color Specialist at prestigious locations, including the ARIA Resort Salon and the Mandarin Oriental.

In 2013, she returned to Michigan to launch Chasing Vanity Salon, a space known for cutting-edge techniques, exceptional client care, and a strong commitment to team development. As an educator and coach, Elisabeth is passionate about empowering beauty professionals, regularly hosting top-tier educators to inspire and elevate her team.

Beyond the salon, Elisabeth is an adventurer, traveler, and community advocate. She draws inspiration from global cultures and is dedicated to giving back to her local community. Now, as a board member of the Michigan Association of Beauty Professionals, she is eager to contribute her expertise to strengthen and shape the future of the beauty industry across the state.
