Rachel Harned is a passionate salon owner, educator, and advocate for the beauty industry. She owns Bombshell Salon & Spa and The Salon Professional Academy of Holland, where she spends her days helping her team grow, mentoring new professionals, and ensuring her businesses continue to thrive. Her goal has always been to create an environment where beauty professionals can reach their full potential and build wildly successful careers.

Under Rachel’s leadership, Bombshell Salon & Spa has grown to become a recognized leader in the industry. Her salon is a platinum member of the High-Performance Salon Academy and has earned the Velocity, Momentum, and Industry Shifter Awards. In 2024, Bombshell was nominated for Salon of the Year by over 60 other salons nationwide, proving that her team’s dedication to excellence and culture is recognized across the industry. Her academy, The Salon Professional Academy of Holland, has also been honored as a Redken Diamond Academy for eight consecutive years, showcasing her commitment to top-tier education.

In addition to running successful businesses, Rachel has made it her mission to support and coach other salon owners. She and her husband, Scott, along with their partners Nikol and Jordan, recently opened The Salon Academy of Holland, furthering her passion for providing high-quality education to future beauty professionals.

Rachel is also a fierce industry advocate, working to protect and uplift beauty professionals through policy changes and regulatory improvements. She believes that the industry deserves equal rights, fair recognition, and a strong voice. Her passion for giving back extends beyond the beauty world—13 years ago, she started an organization that provides holiday gifts for pediatric heart patients and their families, bringing joy to those facing unimaginable challenges.

Even when the COVID-19 pandemic threatened her business, Rachel pushed forward. Her company has continued to grow, proving that resilience, determination, and a strong team can overcome anything.

While she wears many hats—salon owner, mentor, coach, and advocate—Rachel is most proud of being a mom to two active boys. She approaches both business and life with a drive to make every moment count, ensuring that success isn’t just measured in dollars, but in impact.
