Kristan Sayers
PresidentKristan has been a platform artist now for 13 years of her 15-year career. She has launched cutting, formal styling, and color courses throughout the US and Canada, while running K Bella Hair Studio and Spa in Brighton, MI with a team of 26 ladies and an Apprenticeship Program.
Don Romain
Vice PresidentThroughout his career, Don has been involved in various associations, boards, and committees, at the local, state, and national levels. Industry advocacy and involvement have always been a focus for Don, as he understands the need for reasoned and responsible voices.
Mike Sarafa
Board Member ChairSarafa is the CEO of Super C Group, LLC dba Alline Salon Group (ASG). Under Sarafa’s leadership, ASG has grown to 392 salon locations in seven states in under three years to become Regis Corporation’s largest system-wide franchisee.
Tari Krupinski
TreasurerIn 2017, Tari opened Tacari Salon in downtown Plymouth with her business partner and sister Carie. Tari strongly believes that beauty professionals and owners need to support each other and come together to help elevate this great industry.
Patrick M. Bakeman
Board Member ChairThe married father of 3 graduated from the Lansing Barber College in 1999 and was licensed by the state of Michigan in the same year. Pat also obtained his license in the state of Indiana in 2020. He has owned and operated Bakeman Barbers “the King of Cuts” in Dowagiac since 2005.
Rachel Harned
Board Member ChairRachel's dream is to mentor other salon owners by helping them create a solid salon culture, just as Bombshell Blow Dry Bar has done over the past eight years. Her company has increased capacity and revenue exponentially in the last year, even after a 3-month shutdown threatened to damage her salon business.
Dwayne “Wayne The Barber” Harrington
Board Member ChairDwayne Harrington Sr. has been a licensed barber for twenty-three years and has built a reputation in the hair care industry for being more than just a professional groomer, he is an enthusiastic philanthropist.
Stephanie Olson
Board Member ChairAt this point in her career, Stephanie is excited to be able to give back to the industry that she loves and has been so rewarding to her. It is her personal interest to stay current on new trends, procedures, and safety measures. She's looking forward to having the chance to establish roots with the MABP and help to drive our industry forward for tomorrow's new stars.
